Who We Are
Bridget Palmer
Bridget is running for the Cherry Hill Board of Education to ensure all our students have access to the best possible education in an environment where they feel safe and accepted, with the resources and tools they need to thrive.

She brings with her nearly 20 years of experience in journalism, community relations, communications and advocacy across the public, private and nonprofit sectors. She is currently Director of Government Affairs for Bancroft, a Cherry Hill-based nonprofit that provides special education and other supports for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She is a proud product of Penn State's College of Communications, and a Philadelphia native.

Bridget lives in the Township's Delwood neighborhood with her husband, JW, twins Megan and Ryan -- Thomas Paine grads and current Carusi Middle Schoolers -- and their dog, Woofy. Bridget has been active in the community, serving as a longtime volunteer coach at Cherry Hill National Athletic League.

Today, you're most likely to find her cheering from the sidelines of a soccer, baseball or street hockey game, in the audience at a Carusi orchestra concert, or spending summer weekends with friends at Cherry Valley Swim Club.
With a passion for teaching and helping students achieve their educational and professional goals, Kurt Braddock wants to bring enthusiasm and expertise to the Cherry Hill Board of Education. Kurt has been invested in assisting students for the last 20 years, having been a teacher and adviser throughout his Master’s degree from the University of Delaware (2006) and Ph.D. from Penn State (2012), both in Communication. Kurt is currently a professor in the School of Communication at American University, where he teaches his students how to recognize and fight disinformation and extremism – a topic that he has published several articles, chapters, and a book about.
As a Board member, Kurt would have three key priorities. First, he wants to help secure funding for Cherry Hill schools and to optimize those resources to benefit students. To achieve this goal, Kurt seeks to use his abilities as a teacher and a quantitative researcher to evaluate district practices and optimize every dollar spent to ensure their success. Second, as an expert in communication, Kurt wants to help facilitate interactions and cooperation between the Board of Education, school officials, parents, and other members of the community. Third, Kurt will work to ensure that all groups of students in the Cherry Hill School District are protected, respected, and guaranteed the freedom to read.
In his spare time, Kurt enjoys kickboxing at Tiger Schulmann’s Mixed Martial Arts in Cherry Hill, playing hockey all over southern New Jersey, and spending time with his wife Brooke, his new daughter, and their French Bulldog, Sulley.
